POSITION SUMMARY Enhances the quality of life for our members by consistently meeting or exceeding their service expectations. Provides high quality service, defined as ensuring prompt and accurate lien recordings, UCC1 filings and lien/title releases. Primarily responsible for the filing of lien instruments on motor vehicles and other units pledged as collateral security. Duties include the initiation of the filing process, maintaining records of filings, disbursing checks to Department of Motor Vehicle Branches in appropriate jurisdictions, and attending to the renewal or release of filings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lien Filing and Recording – Reviews and corrects title packages prior to submitting for processing to department of motor vehicles and/or other third-party processors. Monitors and tracks completed title applications and ensure the best interest of the credit union and members are served. Follows up with department of motor vehicles to correct any lien filing errors to ensure the credit union is properly secured. Routinely files UCC1’s in accordance with federal regulations of the Uniform Commercial Code. Tracks new collateralized loans to ensure proper filing of liens/titles, utilizing the following reports: Title Fees Report and Titles in Suspense Report.
Problem Resolution–Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relationships with members and external contacts. Resolves (or refers) requests and problems promptly and courteously. Answers questions pertaining to lien, title and UCC1 recordings. Ensures that members’ requests and questions are promptly acknowledged and resolved. Maintains privacy of member account information. Ensures that the Credit Union’s quality reputation is maintained and projected. Promptly responds to and takes action to secure missing lien/title records in accordance with set standards, utilizing available resources, such as the Titles in Suspense report.
Coordination and Communication –Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and communication with area personnel and management. Completes assigned paperwork for Loan Department as needed. Completes records and reports promptly and accurately. Supports and assist personnel as needed. Attends and participates in meetings as required. Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
Title Services Administration - Assumes the role of primary administrator of title services for and between Credit Union departments and branches, the department of motor vehicles and third-party processors. Provides clerical assistance as needed to other Consumer Loan positions. Ensures that good working relationships and coordination exist with members, team members and management. Problems and questions are courteously and promptly resolved or referred. Assistance and support are provided as needed. Management is properly informed.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: A high school diploma or G.E.D.
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of experience, preferably in a Credit Union or financial institution.

Ability to multi-task and be agile to serve members and employees. • Maintain working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and collaborative tools (Teams and Zoom). • Thorough knowledge and understanding of organization’s Employee Handbook and policies. • Must demonstrate functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
