We dismantle whole equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders and rock trucks on site, rebuild the components to their original specifications, and test them on our in-house test bench. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Logistics Coordinator is a key member of the sales and operations planning teams supporting production planning, inventory control, and supply chain for incoming as well as outgoing shipment to customers. This person will have to being very organized, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obtain freight quotes for all inbound and outbound shipments and ensure rapid turnaround to requests from sales team.
Source and negotiate contracts with warehouses, 3PL etc. across North America (Canada & U.S.)
Manage and track inventory spread across multiple warehouses/locations.
Schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments and reconcile charges to quoted rates.
Deal with brokers and ensure duties are correct, and shipments clear without delay.
Core follow-up ensuring cores are returned promptly and accounted for accurately.
Set up new parts in inventory – cross reference part numbers, set up “also fits” referencing, create model groups, and update any inventory items that are incomplete.
Work with Rebuild, Body Shop, and Cab Assembly to ensure adequate parts and supplies are on hand to complete component and cab rebuilds.
Organize inventory, including bin assignment, and act as the primary person for set up of parts, BOM’s and finished goods in the ERP system.
Act as the alternate to the sales team, handling overflow calls, ensuring customer’s inquiries and requests are dealt with promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-2 years background in inventory and logistics.
Very good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail and desire to make the customer experience the best possible.
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to work in a team and be a great team player.
