Job Description
Currently seeking individuals with knowledge of lumber and building materials and a minimum of 2 years' experience operating a forklift. Previous experience working in a lumber yard is a definite asset, but we are willing to train inexperienced applicants who have a positive attitude, are physically fit, have at least 2-years experience operating a forklift and have a desire for long-term employment with a reputable company.

The job:
Pick lumber orders in an accurate and timely manner by hand and with a forklift
Fill out pick slips and maintain inventory accuracy by recording substitutions
Cut dunnage to appropriate lengths using a miter saw and prepare loads for transport using an automatic banding tool and plastic banding
Put returned inventory back into stock
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Perform pre-use inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts
Wear required PPE
What you can expect:
Starting wage in the $20/hr range
Standard shift of 6am to 2:30pm with some overtime available during peak seasons; overtime is paid out on each check
Physical work and tight deadlines
Extreme hot/cold weather in the summer and winter months; consistent outdoor work
Strong expectation that you will be reliable, punctual and accepting of constructive feedback
