WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an enterprising individual who has a technical understanding of garment construction, and pattern making, as well as the ins and outs of the garment manufacturing process for complicated designs. Understanding of US sizes, fabrics, technical composition of patterns.Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fashion Designer at Samshek in Noida Location.
As a Fashion Designer, you will lead and oversee the entire design process for our womenswear collections, from concept to finished product. You will also support the design of our kids-wear and menswear lines. You will be responsible for creating innovative and trendsetting designs that reflect our brand's identity and appeal to our target market. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, merchandising, sales, and marketing, to ensure the quality and profitability of our products. You will also manage and mentor junior designers to help them grow their skills and creativity.
• Conceptualisation of range and collection: Lead the design process from concept to final product development for our womenswear collections and support in Menswear
• Fabric and Material Selection: Research and select appropriate fabrics, materials, and trims for each design, considering factors like quality, comfort, durability, cost etc. (Sourcing new Fabrics, Trims and Accessories from mills & markets frequently)
• Prototype Development: Work closely with the pattern makers and sample makers to produce prototypes and samples of designs for testing and refinement (Development of new Embroidery and Hand work techniques)
• Budget Management: Manage design budgets, including sourcing cost-effective materials and tracking expenses related to design development.
• Quality Control: Maintain a keen eye for detail and ensure the quality and craftsmanship of the final products meet the brand's standards.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the production team, merchandisers, pattern masters, sales and marketing team, p to ensure the highest quality standards
• Team Management: Manage and mentor junior designers to foster creativity and professional growth (Development of Prints, Laces, Embroidery & Schiffli designs from graphic designer, Silhouettes based on Trend & Forecast)
• Trend analysis: Trend analysis, Brand analysis, Conceptualising Stories, Themes, Mood boards & Colour palettes
• Work under deadlines: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure with tight deadlines
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from top-tier institute
• 3 to 6 years of experience with team management experience and experience of independently managing product design and collection for womenswear
• Strong practical knowledge and experience of fabric types, textiles, garment construction, and production processes is a must
• Prior experience in e-commerce and/or with leading Indian brands
• Excellent sketching and illustration skills
• Strong creative vision and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of industry trends and technologies
