Job Summary:
The Machine Operator/Labourer is responsible for operating machinery and performing manual labor tasks to support production processes. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, maintaining equipment, and ensuring efficient operation within the manufacturing or production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Operate and monitor machinery used in the production process.
Set up machines according to specifications and ensure proper functioning during operation.
Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
Identify and report any malfunctions or irregularities to the supervisor.
Assist with troubleshooting and repairing machinery as needed.
Production Tasks:
Perform manual labor tasks such as loading materials into machines, packing finished products, and moving products to storage areas.
Inspect finished products for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
Assist in the assembly of products and components as required.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Follow all company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, machine performance, and maintenance activities.
Report any safety incidents or near misses immediately to the supervisor.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar labor-intensive role is advantageous.
Skills:
Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
Physical Requirements:
