Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods, ensuring component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedules, conduct quality checks following established processes, and document results as required by our quality procedures.
Team members maintain housekeeping and organization of the work area while adhering to TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
Reporting to the Machine Shop supervisor, you will lead a cell by managing workload, production, and staff. Supervise, set, and operate first/second operation machines to accurate specifications, ensuring components meet requirements.
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day supervision of staff.
Deputizing in the absence of supervision.
Splitting daily output 50% indirect and 50% direct work (Direct work involves setting/operating CNC Machines).
Responsible for other cells in the absence of supervision.
Liaising with other departments and managers when required.
Maintaining company procedures and policies.
Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Maintaining efficient manning ratios on 1st and 2nd operations.
Carrying out and planning training for apprentices and staff in development.
Liaising with the maintenance department regarding machine breakdowns and repairs.
Conducting TEOA/KAISAN/5S Audit activities when required.
Maintaining cleanliness of the area and equipment while applying 5S+1 and TPM.
Performing any other reasonable tasks requested from time to time.
Holding and recording effective 1-1's with team members and providing feedback to the supervisor.
Encouraging and supporting a positive attitude and good team working.
Functions Supervised: Machine waiting time, OEE, operations managed by supervision.
Assists/Co-operates: Supervision and other members of the production departments as required.
