Job Description
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on all equipment
Clean and maintain equipment according to procedures
Check and top up fluid levels on all equipment and fluid towers
Inspect and replace filters
Monitor and adjust coolant concentrations; recycle and replace coolant during PMs
Check washer tank water concentrations
Replace equipment belts
Conduct weekly torque inspections/adjustments on Pulse and Ratchet tools
Perform daily inspections of compressor room and equipment
Manage weekly waste disposal
Complete weekly eyewash station TPM inspections
Assist with air leak detection and repairs
Perform snow removal
Manage waste/sludge filtration
Clean security cameras
Inspect fire extinguishers and spill kits
Replace and clean welding exhaust filters
Install railings, fences, and signposts
Relocation of furniture
Disposal of decommissioned equipment and materials
Inventory verification
Parking lot repairs
· Assist departmental team members with maintenance and repair activities
· Perform general cleaning and facility housekeeping duties to maintain an orderly work environment
· Participate and comply with training initiatives as required by management
· Comply with all safety regulations and policies
· Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
Completion of high school diploma or recognized equivalent
Strong mechanical aptitude including demonstrated experience with hand and power tools
High sense of urgency with proven record of meeting strict deadlines
Related industrial/mechanical education considered an asset
Skills and Attributes Required:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Motivated team player with demonstrated organizational and time management skills
Ability to self-direct and troubleshoot while working with minimal supervision
Familiarity with equipment maintenance essential
Ability to read and understand technical documents
Must be capable of meeting physical requirements including frequent, bending, reaching, lifting, climbing, crouching, etc.
Ability to work all shifts, with willingness to be on call and work overtime on an occasional basis
Understand, remember, and carry out detailed instructions
Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods
Perform activities within a schedule
Work involves pressure to meet deadlines
Juggle tasks and prioritize workload
Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting
