What We’re Looking For...
As our Maintenance & Calibration Technician you will perform maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment in accordance with Saluda’s Quality Management System, as well as participating in manufacturing process improvements.
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)
Your role will include:
Timely completion of scheduled maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment & facilities, to ensure compliance with Saluda’s QMS and regulatory requirements.
When required, participate in or drive the troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and facilities breakdowns, and carry out or coordinate repairs (by external contractors) in a timely manner.
Liaise with internal customers and external contractors to ensure the timely performance of duties.
Complete all maintenance and calibration documentation in a timely manner, in accordance with Saluda’s QMS.
Adhere to current Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
Immediately reporting all incidents, accidents, hazards, or unsafe work conditions to management
Participation in incident investigations as required
Performing all work duties in a manner that ensures the health and safety of all employees
Assist the Manufacturing Engineering department in meeting business requirements, support troubleshooting of manufacturing process issues.
Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Participate in training on the safe and correct operation of manufacturing equipment, assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of equipment break down.
Support Production & Manufacturing Engineering teams in equipment/process qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ validation).
Provide technical expertise and advice on technical issues both within and beyond the Manufacturing Engineering Department.
When required, participate and interact with other departments in the implementation of new products and manufacturing equipment/processes.
Follow relevant QMS procedures in order to deliver quality services, identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement.
Undertake additional quality responsibilities (e.g., production line audit) when appropriately trained to undertake these responsibilities.
Support efforts related to audits, compliance, and regulatory submissions.
About you:
Engineering Trade qualified (Electrical, Electronics, Tool Making, Mechanical/Fitting).
Minimum 3+ years experience in performing maintenance & calibration program.
Experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Ability to work in controlled production environment (including cleanroom), laboratory and office environments (standing and sitting).
Experience in operating small industrial equipment.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good problem-solving skills.
Experience with, and commitment to, working in a QA controlled environment.
Good command of English language; with the ability to read, understand and follow work-instructions.
Ability to work in a team.
It’s not essential, but nice if you have:
Post trade qualifications to a higher Engineering level (Advanced Certificate, Diploma of Engineering)
Exposure to asset management, total preventative maintenance (TPM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
Experience with simple equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
