The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Fitter to join our Goodman Fielder team in Hobart.
This full-time, salaried position working on a Monday to Friday, including one full factory close-down day dedicated to maintenance.
In this role, you'll be a key part of our high-performing Operations team, ensuring our equipment is safe, reliable and running at its best. If you're mechanically strong, safety-focused and enjoy problem-solving, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career with a leading FMCG manufacturer.
What You Will Do
Complete preventative and reactive maintenance across plant equipment.
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs, modifications and service work.
Prioritise maintenance tasks and respond to breakdowns as the first point of contact.
Support engineering standards through effective SH&E and QA reporting.
Participate in training and contribute to continuous improvement activity across the site.
What You Will Bring
Mechanical trade qualification.
Strong technical and diagnostic capability with experience in fast-paced environments.
Risk assessment skills and a strong safety mindset.
Good communication, teamwork and numeracy skills.
