Key Responsibilities

Maintenance:
Able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.
Assist the Maintenance Manager in formulating maintenance policies, new equipment recommendations, modifications, etc.
Maintain an adequate spare parts inventory and ensure that these parts are stored correctly and inventoried accurately.
Maintain equipment and repair records.
Appraise equipment on an ongoing basis and perform repairs, as necessary.
Comply with all pertinent safety and security policies and ensure that equipment is safe to operate.
When necessary, communicate to plant personnel the proper use of tools and equipment.
Maintain plant tools and equipment in good working condition and properly calibrated as necessary.
Assist in the development, design, and fabrication of production related jigs, fixtures, accessories as necessary.
Contribute with the commissioning and startup of new equipment.
Responsible for the activities and cleanliness of the maintenance shop, and machine tool area.
Education & Experience
Millwright trade certification – Canada.
Completion of a mechanical apprenticeship program would be preferred.
Minimum three (3) years working as a Millwright within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong trouble shooting and repair skills with experience in preventative maintenance.
Solid Understanding of mechanical systems and industrial equipment.
Fabrication and welding experience with basic machining experience (lathe and/or mill).
Willingness and ability to work shift work, overtime and call-ins as required.
Willingness to upgrade skills and education to meet company requirements.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing best practices.
Self-motivated, dependable, and a strong team contributor.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
Strong safety awareness.
Familiarity with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance programs.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $46.14 per hour
Expected hours: 42 per week
