Management Accountant
Location: Borehamwood
Working Pattern: 5 days a week onsite
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Company Overview
We are representing a dynamic and growing organisation based in Borehamwood, seeking a hands-on and commercially aware Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial performance and strategic direction of the business, working closely with operational and senior leadership teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
• Own the budgeting and forecasting processes in conjunction with department heads.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and commentary to support strategic decisions.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers, prepayments, and accruals.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journals and reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital, providing regular reports to senior management.
• Liaise with external auditors and prepare audit schedules as required.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards.
• Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities.
• Partner with operations and other departments to support cost control and efficiency initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
• Qualified or finalist (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with relevant experience in a similar role.
• Strong technical accounting skills, including management reporting and variance analysis.
• Experience working with or managing fixed asset accounting is highly desirable.
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and challenge stakeholders.
• Comfortable working onsite full-time in a collaborative team environment.
