Management Accountant

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our highly experienced and high-performing team in Droitwich, Worcestershire. The team work with and support a number of different cost centres, partnering with them to manage costs and drive efficiencies. We are seeking a detail-oriented Management Accountant who can prepare financial reports, analyse financial data, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Update and maintain sales adjustments/discounts and rebates. Analysis and forecasting of Sales adjustments by Customer
Validate current and historic Customer Audit claims and disputes, and liaise with the Sales team, internal Finance and external Customer to help resolve queries
Working with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure sales adjustment claims are valid and processed on time
Preparation and analysis of cost centres expenditure and perform month-end duties in relation to this, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly forecasting and reporting to internal stakeholders and be an active business partner. This includes communicating, reporting and controlling of expenditure.
Managing the budgeting and forecasting process for your cost centres.
Approve the cost expenditure within the cost centre remit
Supporting the FD and finance team in ad-hoc projects and tasks
Skills/Experience

Part Qualified or Qualified ACA/CIMA
Track record of achievement within Management accounts
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
An analytical mind with attention to detail
Excellent communication and business partnering skills, including the ability to work with and communicate effectively at all levels within VAX and with external stakeholders
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines to deliver results
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems.
