A rapidly growing company within the recycling industry is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team during an exciting phase of expansion and development. The Role
This newly created role will see you working closely with the Finance Director, supporting the core accounting functions of the business. There is ample room for professional growth, as the company is poised for further expansion. Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing monthly financial statements, accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
• Managing weekly cash flow, forecasting, and reporting.
• Handling bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Overseeing cash flow management and supplier relationships.
• Processing multi-currency supplier/customer invoices and overhead expenses.
• Preparing VAT returns and managing accounts in Sage 50.
• Managing accounts receivable, including chasing debtors and ensuring credit limits are in place.
• Assisting with the annual statutory audit and liaising with external auditors for financial reviews and controls.
• Working with the company's financial service providers, including credit facilities and foreign exchange platforms.
• Preparing payroll on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and processing employee expenses and company credit cards.
• Assisting with financial projects and providing support on other ad hoc accounting tasks.
Your Profile
We are looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant with strong core accounting skills, either from an industry or practice background.
