We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Fitness Manager to lead our team and enhance the overall fitness experience for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for fitness, and the ability to drive sales while managing daily operations. This role requires exceptional communication and organizational abilities to ensure the success of our fitness programs and staff.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the fitness center, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all members.
Recruit, interview, and train new staff members while providing ongoing coaching and development.
Supervise fitness staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Manage cash handling processes, including membership sales and payment transactions.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase membership enrollment and retention.
Communicate with clients to understand their fitness goals and provide personalized recommendations.
Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance service quality.
Coordinate group fitness classes and personal training sessions to meet client needs.
Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Negotiate contracts with vendors or partners as needed to support facility operations.
Experience
Proven experience in a managerial role within the fitness industry or related field is preferred.
Strong background in sales with demonstrated success in achieving targets.
Proficiency in cash handling and basic math skills for financial transactions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients and staff.
Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and supervising personnel is highly desirable.
Ability to sell fitness programs and motivate team members towards achieving common goals.
