About the Role
As Manager - Corp Dev and M&A , you’ll drive strategic partnerships and outreach programs. In this role, you’ll take up initiatives with complete ownership, manage multiple projects and drive execution with various org teams within Meesho. You’ll also lead efforts related to the assessment and execution of relevant investment and / or partnership opportunities by developing a strategic rationale for Meesho. You’ll coordinate due diligence exercises and augment the team's industry awareness.
What you will do
• Deal Sourcing & Market Mapping
• Build and maintain a strong sourcing network across startups, VC firms, investment banks, accelerators, and industry forums to identify high-potential acquisition and partnership opportunities aligned with Meesho's vision of democratising internet commerce in India
• Actively track emerging trends in e-commerce, supply chain, fintech, and adjacent tech ecosystems to map potential strategic fits for Meesho.
• Develop a structured pipeline of M&A, investment, and partnership opportunities, ensuring alignment with Meesho’s long-term strategy.
Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Partnerships
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and alliances to strengthen our seller ecosystem and consumer offerings.
• Lead and manage the end-to-end deal lifecycle for M&A and strategic partnerships that enhance Meesho’s platform and capabilities.
• Drive integration planning and execution for acquired entities to maximize operational synergies and cultural alignment.
Investment Strategy
• Source, Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in e-commerce, logistics, and fintech startups that complement Meesho’s ecosystem.
• Work closely with VCs, PE firms, and investment banks to explore co-investment and fundraising opportunities.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitor benchmarking to identify risks and opportunities in India’s evolving e-commerce landscape.
• Develop data-driven insights to guide Meesho’s expansion, business diversification, and revenue growth strategies.
• Financial Modeling & Due Diligence
• Build financial models to evaluate M&A, investment, and partnership opportunities, ensuring robust decision-making.
• Lead due diligence efforts, assessing financial, operational, and strategic fit with Meesho’s long-term goals.
What you will need
• MBA from a top-tier institute
• 2+ years of post-MBA experience in corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, or management consulting.
• Experience in deal sourcing, investment pipeline management, and building strong industry networks.
• Ability to analyze complex data, synthesize insights, and present actionable recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
