Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Manager, Data & AI Governance you will
Work closely across whole of business, to establish and embed governance structures, data and AI ownership, and facilitate AI governance reviews ensuring they balance risk, value and compliance considerations and align with NSW Government frameworks and practices.
Establish and embed data and AI risk management practices in partnership with Risk Management function, aligning with enterprise risk management frameworks and risk appetite.
Design, embed and continuously adapt frameworks, policies and practices to cater for growing and innovative data, analytics and AI technologies and their usage in a changing legislative environment.
Run and continuously improve the operation of Information and AI Governance Council and related groups, ensuring clear agendas, decisions actions, any escalations and accountabilities. Ensure relevant papers are drafted and submitted in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in establishing and operating data and AI governance in complex, regulated environments.
Experience developing and maintaining data and AI governance frameworks, policies and artefacts and integrating them in business operations.
Proven ability to gain endorsements and lead forums with senior stakeholders.
Experience in guiding analytics, data science or AI teams on governance matters.
Strong understanding of data management frameworks and practices (e.g. DMBOK, CPG 235) and ethical and responsible AI frameworks and emerging standards.
Strong understanding of privacy, security and regulatory obligations related to data and AI.
