Job Purpose (Job Summary): The Data Services Team is a major component of the Investments Data Office which supports Investments and other consumers of Investment Data. The scope of the MDs Team is MDS team is being expanded to include the current support for the Account and Product Mastering functions as well as a Data Analytics function. The team supports the Account Onboarding/Product teams by creating and amending New Accounts/Funds / share Classes in the Trading, Accounting and Master Data systems as appropriate. This role requires supporting internal and external stakeholders with strong functional understanding of client onboarding, operations and associated reporting and account set-up practices. The Data Analysis function, which will be added shortly, will work with the Data Product Owners in support of BAU, ad hoc and project efforts as well as providing BAU data validation and remediation support. Candidate will be responsible for Data Services team`s activities. Primary activity is to manage team and to ensure that the daily operations support is seamless while actively exploring & pursuing continuous process improvement opportunities. Transitions work from Onshore teams. Hire, Train and upskill resources. The Manager will report to the Investments Data Officer and must maintain collaborative working relationships with the rest of the Investments Data Office. Of particular importance is the matrixed relationship with the Senior Manager, Account Data Services as relates to the Account functions and with the Data Product Owners as related to the Data Analytics processes. This position requires a self-motivated individual to take a leading role in the fast paced, deadline driven, and regulated environment. Candidate will be responsible to Key Responsibilities / Duties : Running Master Data Services operational activities effectively, provide direction to staff, Monitor deliverables, set priorities and ensure staff are aware of critical deadlines or changes in policy or procedures Conduct Business Process review regularly to identify redundancies or enhancement opportunities. Troubleshoot and Identify the Root-cause for issues. Suggest control measures, Provide sustainable solutions to the clients Ensure documentation, training, and stabilization of transitioned processes. Review and sign-off SOPs. Generate and review monthly process/utilization metrics, provide trends analysis, and recommend capacity utilization for additional transitions Proactively identify potential work bottlenecks or rise in work volumes and plan to ensure team executes all assignments in accordance with agreed SLAs. Participate in projects as required by on-site teams including but not limited to strategic initiatives and UAT testing.
