Manager People and Safety
Full-time role 37.5 hours per week worked over five days per week.
Hybrid working arrangements, 50% of time in Carlton office, 50% work from home.
Salary around $115K-$120K per annum + Superannuation
About Birdlife Australia
As the leading charity for bird conservation in Australia, Birdlife Australia is spearheading the revival of endangered bird species, rejuvenating natural habits and taking action to prevent bird extinctions. Over 120 years, Birdlife has grown to become the national authority on bird conservation with a network of hundreds of members, volunteers and supporters with deep expertise in birds and their habitats.
Birdlife employs around 150 people.
About the Role of Manager People and Safety
The Manager People and Safety is an exciting new role who works with organisational leaders, on workforce engagement and safety.
Following appointment will be responsible for recruiting and providing leadership to an additional HR Professional to Birdlife Australia.
The Ideal Candidate
This role is the Senior HR role for the organisation, and you will have good all round operational Human Resources Management experience, and covering the general wide range of HR responsibilities including:
leadership support.
recruitment & on-boarding.
workforce engagement.
OHS management.
employment contracts, position descriptions, policies.
We would expect you have relevant tertiary qualifications and AHRI certification, and a passion for conservation and nature. HR experience in an environmental or conservation sector organisation or a not for profit setting would be ideal as would a positive and flexible approach to work, people, and challenges.
