Global Service Centre's:
Our Global Service Centre's are an integral part of Global Operations. Employees based there manage day-to-day customer transactions and processes for the global businesses.
Employees in the Global Service Centre's also run and manage operations for commercial bank customers. This includes processing credit applications, facilitating payments and managing the import and export transactions that enable customers to protect and grow their businesses through international trade.
Purpose of Department:
Wholesale Credit & Market Risk [WMR] is responsible for the approvals, policies, portfolio management and reporting on the Group’s Wholesale Credit and Market Risk exposures.
The Corporate Approvals team was set up to support WMR by performing credit approvals / recommendation for relationships falling within the Large Corporate / Global Banking portfolio of various onshore regions of HSBC.
The role entails reviewing credit submissions, challenging the Relationship Manager’s proposition where required and approving / recommending a lending position within delegated authority after suitably mitigating the Bank's risks.
