Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Mannequin Designer to join our team. The successful candidate should have an extensive knowledge of body forms and be capable to assist in all aspects of the design and provide creative input for our new mannequin collections. You will be responsible for the ‘ownership’ of key projects from concept through to the final design which will require you to work closely with Customers, Team managers and our Engineering department in order to transition the design creations from concept through to the final product.
As a member of our global design team, your mission will be to help develop the designs required to support MARVELUX® Mannequins new business projects. Based in Montreal, Canada’s fashion industry capital, this position will appeal to those with a degree in Product Design or Industrial Design with a minimum of 3 years’ design experience within the fashion/retail display or shop fitting industry with a supported knowledge base across multiple type design software tools.
Having a keen eye for detail is critical along with an enormous capacity for innovation supported by your ability to think proactively and respond quickly. A broad knowledge of global trends in retail display and a proven ability to work with multiple retailers/brands with the capacity to understand the scope of their commercial needs is essential. You possess excellent interpersonal communications skills, and are passionate about the role of design and being part of a customer driven team focused on building relationships to support our ever growing global client base. You must have a positive outlook and be adaptable, along with the desire and commitment to progress within a fast paced, exciting organization.
