Position : Manufacturing Engineer

Location : Liverpool, Merseyside, Lancashire, Greater Manchester

Sector : Manufacturing, automotive

Salary : £50,000-£55,000

Hybrid : No, this is an onsite position

About the role of a Manufacturing Engineer
• The development and introduction of standard operating procedures and production processes
• Define requirements and create specifications for new equipment
• Ensure that error proofing is effective
• Integration of new equipment into production processes
• Drive standardisation projects
• Ensure that all documentation is managed and controlled
• Assess and select equipment suppliers to ensure correct specification
• Assess alternative manufacturing practices taking into account space constraints, material requirements and Energy performance.
• OEE focused improvements
• Produce product and process reports
• Ensure Lean Manufacturing principles are adopted and implemented through the Value stream.

• Ability to work under pressure, independently and within a team
• Ability to use problem solving tools and work with stakeholders on solution to problems.
• Excellent skills in MS Office and communication to all levels of the business
• Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience of Lean manufacturing
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Flexible approach with excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• A relevant Engineering degree or demonstrable industrial knowledge and experience will be considered
• CNC Machining experience beneficial
• IATF Knowledge
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
• An ability to work well under pressure
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Relevant technical knowledge
• Problem solving skills
• Efficiency and organization
• Teamworking skills
• Strong ability to learn
