Manufacturing Infrastructure Services Team leader
We are looking for a dynamic leader for our Manufacturing Landscape, which is spread across 20 Data Centers, 8 Manufacturing sites in 3 continents. The complex Manufacturing landscape consist of all Technology towers Windows and Virtualization, Storage and Backup, Databases, Unix/Linux with data replication across Data Center for high availability. The team size will be 50+ and will include working with service providers for certain services.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Infrastructure Service Leader to establish, manage, and oversee the operation for Manufacturing landscape. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, applications, and services. The Infra Lead will define and implement processes best practices, build a high-performing team, and act as the central point of coordination for all operational and projects
Job Responsibility
• IT Infrastructure Service Leader to establish, manage, and oversee the operation for Manufacturing landscape
• Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing Infrastructure operations team, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for Infrastructure operations, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and external partners to enhance the Manufacturing Infrastructure Landscape.
• Vulnerability/security Management: Oversee vulnerability assessment and mitigation efforts, ensuring the reduction of vulnerabilities across the Manufacturing landscape.
Job Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 20+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, at least 8+ years of leadership experience of managing 50+ team size.
• Preferred Certifications: Related technology certifications are added advantage.
Team Management & Development
• Recruit, train, and mentor team across all technology towers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Communication & Reporting
• Act as the central point of contact for entire Manufacturing Infrastructure Operations, ensuring clear communication to leadership and stakeholders.
• Generate and deliver operational reports and dashboards, summarizing key metrics, trends, and incident resolutions.
• Develop post-incident reviews (PIRs) to identify lessons learned and implement improvements initiatives.
Technology & Process Innovation
• Evaluate and implement tools and technologies to enhance monitoring, automation, and infrastructure management capabilities.
• Drive the adoption of best practices, including ITIL frameworks, to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT and Application Teams to ensure delivery, meeting business requirements.
Leadership & Soft Skills
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and team-building abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and proactive prevention.
• Analytical abilities, proficient in analyzing data and creating reports.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and training skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
