Role
As a Marketing Associate at Whatnot, you have a deep understanding of our customers and what drives acquisition, engagement, and retention. Your focus is on growing buyer demand across all key categories in Australia. You play a key role in executing campaigns and building relationships that generate buzz, strengthen community, and drive conversion across the platform. This includes digital events on Whatnot, integrated marketing campaigns, in-person events and activations, influencer partnerships, collaborations with sellers and creators to create compelling, high-performing content.

Support buyer acquisition across categories by developing and executing campaigns and events that generate community buzz and drive demand on Whatnot

Plan and execute product release campaigns, and support on-platform events and key community moments across multiple channels

Manage a portfolio of influencers, including relationship management, campaign ideation, execution, and reporting

Partner with the global social team to develop and execute social media strategy, including managing a social calendar and advising on content for tentpole campaigns

You

Experience in:

category marketing,

events,

social media marketing,

influencer marketing, or

business operations

You have a background in running digital marketing campaigns with a proven ability to conceptualize, produce and drive campaign conversion

You have experience and an interest in working directly with influencers and creators

You are a problem solver with strong project management skills and the ability to fully own execution across multiple marketing channels

You're immersed in internet culture and excited to dive deep into the inner-workings of Whatnot’s communities

You have a passion for creator communities and/or existing Whatnot product categories

You’re data-driven and have experience tracking growth KPIs and monitoring the success of marketing programs

Proficiency in digital platforms and data analytics tools

You are scrappy and flexible enough to work in a fast-paced startup environment with limited guidance and are comfortable pivoting quickly as needed

Experience at a high-growth startup, marketplace, or creator-focused platform is a plus

Compensation Range: A$85K - A$115K
