Job Title: Mascot Performer - Rudy the Raccoon!
Location: Calgary, Alberta. This position must be in-person.

Schedule:
Calgary Festival: August 22 - 24, 2026 at Prince’s Island Park.
Compensation: A flat rate of $750 for the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival event weekend!

As Rudy the Raccoon, your job is simple:

Roam the festival grounds in costume, remaining silent while in character
Engage with festival guests in a charming, comedic, and entertaining way
Create fun, joy, and unexpected moments for guests
Take regular breaks to stay cool while wearing a full-body fur costume
Our Ideal Rudy Mascot:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Due to the costume restrictions, the ideal height for this performer is between 5’5 - 6’0.
Comfortable working in warm temperatures in full costume, being physically active, enthusiastic, and able to commit to staying in character at all times.
Formal mascot experience is not required , although always welcome! We invite applicants with all levels of experience including, but not limited to:
Character and costume performers, such as seasonal and children’s entertainers
Theatre or improv performance.
Dance/movement-based work.
Street performers, clowning, and miming.
