Job Description
Responsibilities
Teach a wide range of math subjects including highschool algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, differential equations, and higher education topics as appropriate.
Create an engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes active participation, critical thinking, and collaborative learning.
Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and formative assessments; provide timely feedback to support growth.
Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral reports while ensuring compliance with school policies.
Engage with parents or guardians through conferences to discuss student progress and foster a supportive learning community.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education or a related field
Proven experience teaching high school mathematics with a strong understanding of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, differential equations, and higher-level math topics.
Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with effective communication skills suited for diverse student populations.
