Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging math lessons for K–12 students in small group and one-on-one settings.
Teach a range of math subjects, including elementary math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and higher-level math as appropriate.
Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs and learning goals.
Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and active participation.
Identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement and provide targeted instruction accordingly.
Assess student progress regularly and provide clear, constructive feedback to support academic growth.
Use visual aids, manipulatives, technology, and real-life applications to make math concepts clear and engaging.
Support students with school coursework, exams, standardized tests, and enrichment or competition math when applicable.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the academic team regarding student progress.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Strong subject knowledge in mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and advanced topics as applicable.
Experience teaching or tutoring K–12 students.
Familiarity with current math teaching strategies and instructional resources.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt instruction for different learning styles and academic levels.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching math.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Comfortable using technology and online platforms for instruction when needed.
