About the Role
As an Auto Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of mechanical and auto-electrical tasks, including diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and customer communication. Your key duties will include:
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections of petrol and diesel vehicles to identify mechanical and auto-electrical faults.
Use diagnostic tools and scanning equipment (OBD-II, multimeters, oscilloscopes) to troubleshoot engine, transmission, ABS, SRS, and other electronic systems.
Perform road tests to evaluate drivability issues and verify repairs.
Service vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and scheduled maintenance.
Repair, replace, or adjust mechanical components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering systems.
Perform engine tuning, timing adjustments, and mechanical calibrations.
Inspect and replace timing belts/chains, water pumps, cooling system components, and other critical engine parts.
Diagnose and repair auto-electrical faults, including lighting, starting, charging, and ignition systems.
Install, repair, and test alternators, starter motors, batteries, sensors, relays, and wiring harnesses.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repair recommendations.
