Clinical / Medical Office Assistant
Aboud Health Group (AHG) is a brand new, state of the art family medicine/specialty practice in Mississauga, Ontario. AHG’s mission is to provide quality care, comprehensive services, and convenient walk-in-clinic services to a diverse population.
Aboud Health Group is recruiting for:
Experienced Clinical / Medical Office Assistants (2) – Full/ Part Time
Job Summary: The Clinical Assistants assist the providers in providing care to patients. They prepare the patient for the visit by taking and documenting patient vital signs, drawing blood, providing injections, and contacting patients with results of tests by direction of the physicians.
Other responsibilities will include:
Prepare and set out instruments for certain types of appointments
Coordinates patient movement
Provide injections of vitamins/minerals/vaccines/allergy serums and TB skin tests
Ensure safe storage of vaccines or other injectables while maintaining cold chain
Track expiration dates injectables and drug samples
Clean and sterilize instruments following IPAC specifications
Ensure examination room surfaces are cleaned and sterilized
Maintains adequate levels of exam room and nursing station stock and inventory and orders medical supplies and materials as required
Responds to telephone inquiries relating to patients, lab requests as required
Assist the Medical Office Assistants in the front office as required.
What you need:
Medical Office Assistant or Administration Certification required
At least 3-years medical office experience
Phlebotomy Certificate required
Immunization and Injection Accreditation Certification required
