Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of surgical guidelines and coding principles
- Apply knowledge of modifiers and procedure CPT to accurately code medical procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity
Requirements
- 3-7 years of experience in surgery coding
- Strong domain knowledge in surgical guidelines and coding principles
- Good exposure to modifiers and procedure CPT for all body systems
- Certification in AAPC or AHIMA is mandatory
