Pen Bay Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician to join our growing team here in Rockport, Maine. This Position offers a unique opportunity to work .6FTE clinically and .4 FTE administratively acting as the Emergency Department Medical Director.
Pen Bay is a ++-bed facility with broad array of consult availability both locally and via the MaineHealth OneCall system. The hospital utilizes the Epic EMR, which is fully integrated with all hospital departments, physician practices, and other hospitals within the MaineHealth family. We seek a provider who is looking to work in a busy, fast-paced environment caring for the community as part of a patient-centered team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff in a Medical Director capacity.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Emergency Medicine Board Certified
• Active and unrestricted State of Maine medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
Coastal Maine is a scenic coastal community in the heart of a four-season recreation area. Surrounded by both lakes and the ocean, Coastal Maine is a haven for boating, swimming, fishing, ATV trail riding, and sailing. The nearby mountains provide hiking and mountain biking with vista views of Penobscot Bay and our neighboring Island communities. A family ski resort, the Camden Hills Snow Bowl, is less than 10 minutes away, where you also may wish to ride the toboggan chute down at the National Toboggan Festival each year.
