About the role
As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you will be responsible for patient care prior to, during and after the scan. The majority of your work will be clinical in nature including some administrative duties.
We have two positions available, one Full Time role within our MRI team and one Full Time role within our CT team. Both positions are 75 hours per fortnight Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work weekend rosters as needed. Some of your many and varied duties will include:
Confirming patient appointments & any pre-appointment instructions via telephone
Retrieving outside imaging studies
Preparing patients for procedures
Assisting with the positioning of patients during procedures
Assisting the technical staff member during clinical procedures, including cannulating patients
Stock control
Cleaning and housekeeping duties
Role requirements
A caring, compassionate nature
Excellent customer service skills

The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
A willingness to train in IV Cannulation
Outstanding communication and time management skills
Computer literacy skills
The ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment
Physical fitness to perform a clinical focused hands-on role
Although not essential, previous experience in a similar role and an active interest in Medical Imaging will be highly regarded.
Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment.
