Responsibilities
Mobile collection and processing of biological samples, including blood and other specimens, as well as performing mobile ECGs
Confidently perform phlebotomy procedures with precision and care, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring all tools are clean, calibrated, and ready for use.
Manage patient communications, booking changes and associated admin tasks
Requirements
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience working with Alberta Precision Labs, Dynalife, Lifelabs, or another public laboratory in Canada. If you do not meet this experience requirement, please do not submit your resume.
Skills
Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to laboratory practices.
Experience working in a laboratory setting. Mobile collection service experience an asset.
Strong skills in phlebotomy techniques, with a focus on patient care and safety.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in sample handling and documentation.
Ability to work independently while managing appointments efficiently.
A cheerful attitude and customer service orientation with strong communication skills (including fluency in English) to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
Comfortable driving around the city of Calgary and outskirt areas.
Must have flexible schedule and be willing to work anywhere from 10-20 hours per week.
