Your Role
As a Travel Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will:
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis across core lab disciplines.
• Collect patient samples and ensure accurate specimen handling.
• Prepare and use reagents and quality control materials according to SOPs.
• Communicate test results to healthcare providers and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment per Diagnostic Accreditation Program (DAP) guidelines.
• Adapt quickly to new environments and support interdisciplinary teams in a variety of health settings.
What You Bring
• CSMLS certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (required).
• Experience in Core Lab procedures (new grads are encouraged to apply).
• Strong adaptability, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to culturally safe care and awareness of Indigenous-specific health inequities and systemic barriers.
• Willingness to travel and work in short- or long-term assignments throughout BC.
• Understanding of anti-racism principles, cultural humility, and relevant frameworks such as:
• Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action
• In Plain Sight report
• UNDRIP & BC’s Declaration Act
• Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls Calls for Justice
