Job Description
We are currently hiring an energetic Medical Office Assistants to join our team! The ideal candidate for this role is a successful team player with experience multitasking in a dynamic, fast- paced work environment, and has open availability. Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver the highest level of customer service both in person and over the phone.
Welcome, greet, assist, give direction to clients/patients.
Schedule and confirm medical appointments, schedule clients for tests and follow-up appointments.
Receive and make phone calls, send faxes, send emails, create referrals.
Receive and communicate messages for medical staff and patients.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records: update addresses, phone numbers, personal information.
Assist health care providers in measuring height and weight for patients.
Perform office-related duties, both clerical and administrative, to ensure services are provided efficiently and effectively.
Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology.
Prepare and coordinate client consultations, laboratory, x-ray and other diagnostic tests ordered by health care providers.
Coordinate submitting referrals to specialist offices and hospitals.
Assist in assessing the quality of patient/client care.
Follow organizational guidelines and protocols; participate in implementing organizational protocols.
Comply with all privacy and confidentiality guidelines, including HIPAA regulations.
Perform other duties that may be assigned as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare environment is an asset but not required.
Proficient in the use of computer programs and medical softwares.
Able to multitask and handle pressure during busy periods.

Education:
Grade 12
Requirements:
Fluency in English
Both weekday & weekend availability is a must
Mandarin and Cantonese preferred but not required
5 days/week
MOA experience is an asset
Familiarity with OSCAR is an asset
Working knowledge of Word and Excel, although more extensive computer knowledge is an asset. Minimum 45 words per minute typing speed with high accuracy.
