Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical. Oncologist in Jalandhar, Punjab. The Medical Oncologist will be responsible for providing medical care to cancer patients, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care. The role also involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, conducting research, performing procedures such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and educating patients and their families about cancer treatment options.
• Working with patients to explain a diagnosis and stage of cancer, discuss treatment options, and assist in managing the side effects and symptoms of cancer and its treatment.
• Leading a cancer treatment team of various healthcare professionals.
• Coordinating treatment plans and prescribing various types of treatment, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
• Assisting patients with pain management.
• Willing to work in a multi disciplinary approach with other modalities.
• Performing basic administrative and clerical tasks, such as keeping records of test results, writing prescriptions, providing cancer information to patients, and monitoring treatment plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with healthcare professionals
