Job Description
Act as a positive role model to coach, guide and support residents in acquiring self-management behaviours.
Inspire and influence appropriate attitudes towards consumers.
Liaise and work collaboratively with mental health and other service providers to facilitate rehabilitation and recovery opportunities through integrated care planning.
As a Consumer Specialist Worker, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for residents and ensuring services are consumer-centric. You will work closely with residents, staff, and the community to support clinical and non-clinical psychosocial goals, facilitate transitions, and promote the concept of recovery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Lived experience of mental illness and successful recovery.
Demonstrated experience and skills in supporting consumers to engage in their own recovery journey through shared lived experience.
Ability to interact with people living with mental illness and high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
Benefits:
Salary $58,70+.00 - $63,154.00 (Pro Rata).
22.5 hours p/w - Ongoing employment opportunity.
