Job Role: Merchandiser in a Textile Manufacturing Company
Overview:
The Merchandiser plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between product development, production, and sales within a textile manufacturing company. This position is responsible for ensuring that textile products meet market demands while maintaining quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Product Development:
• Collaborate with design and production teams to develop new textile products.
• Analyze market trends and customer feedback to inform product design.
• Sourcing:
• Identify and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials and components.
• Ensure that all sourced materials meet quality and compliance standards.
• Market Analysis:
• Conduct research to understand market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences.
• Provide insights to guide product positioning and pricing strategies.
• Order Management:
• Oversee the order process from production planning to delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage reorders to ensure product availability.
• Quality Assurance:
• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet specifications.
• Address any quality issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Sales Support:
• Work closely with the sales team to provide product information, samples, and marketing materials.
• Assist in training sales staff on new products and features.
• Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and market performance.
• Prepare regular reports to present to management for strategic decision-making.
• Collaboration:
• Liaise with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and logistics, to streamline processes.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in merchandising within the textile or fashion industry.
• Strong understanding of textile products and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹10,30+.00 - ₹40,+3+.00 per month
