Position: Grade 6 Homeroom/Religion Teacher and Middle School Math Teacher
Location: St. Louise Parish School
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Job Summary
The Middle School Math Teacher is responsible for delivering rigorous, standards-based instruction in mathematics to students in grades 6-8. The teacher promotes problem-solving, logical reasoning, and mathematical fluency while fostering confidence and academic responsibility in a faith-centered environment. The teacher will also have 6th grade homeroom responsibilities and teach 6th grade religion.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach middle school mathematics aligned with curriculum standards
• Develop students' computational skills, conceptual understanding, and analytical thinking skills
• Teach homeroom students religion aligned with curriculum standards
• Use assessment data to inform instruction and differentiate to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Use formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
• Maintain accurate and timely grading and documentation
• Effectively and timely communicate academic growth and progress with parents and administrators
Qualifications
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
• Valid Teaching Certificate (state certification or equivalent)
• Practicing Catholic
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administration, families, and parish community
• Strong verbal and written communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
• Commitment to supporting the academic, social, and spiritual development of students
• Valid Seattle Archdiocese's Catechetical Certification or working towards obtaining it
• Complete required background checks, Safe Environment/Virtus training, and CPR/First Aid requirements

Salary:
The range for this position is $58,000-$80,000. Any salary offered is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees and certifications.
