Job Description

Qualifications
Technical breadth with full-stack development in both Salesforce and JavaScript – someone who has technical abilities to design user interfaces and back-end APIs across multiple environments, and understands not only the functional aspects of programming, but also has the breadth to develop beyond application coding – such as infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, security/authentication, etc
Having projects where you’ve had to develop UIs, APIs, infrastructure, and CI/CD across Salesforce, JavaScript, and other environments would demonstrate that breadth of experience
Ownership and action – someone who sees a problem and wants to take ownership of solving the problem
There’s no room for silos here, we all have to cross boundaries to create solutions
Solid development experience with a strong potential to grow – someone who may not yet be a consistent senior influencer or architect, but who has multiple examples of going beyond their experience level
This can be indicated by having 2-5 years of strong experience with some examples of going beyond the years
Tell us how you’ve solved a big problem or had a big impact – we want to know
Adaptable willingness and ability to support the team and achieve results – someone who has shown themselves willing to jump into new areas, learn new technologies, and do so quickly in a way that impacts the business
Being able to discuss examples of having a measurable impact on the business while mastering new technologies would show how you are focused on making a difference for the team and the company while expanding your skillset
We’d love to hear precedents where you took something really complicated and were able solve it with something simple, or in a way that addressed an even bigger problem in a general, flexible way
Equally empathetic and objective, humble and highly conscientious; a teammate that inspires and motivates others.
Comfort with uncertainty; self-motivated and directed; can manage effectively in high growth, rapidly evolving environments.
A problem solver, able to think critically and strategically while being hands on in driving work; proactively identifies and resolves risks to execution and delivery.

Teamwork, mentorship, and history helping teams and teammates grow and get stronger – being able to lift a coworker shows a commitment to more than oneself
Start-up or small company experience – start-ups have no silos or boundaries like larger companies might, so showing how you’ve been in such an environment before helps prove that you can do it again

We are looking for a Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Engineer with Salesforce experience to join our team! Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Technology, the Software Engineer will be passionate about our mission to support those who need help most in our healthcare system. This role will be part of our software development team and take guidance from our senior software engineering leaders.

Who We Are

We are a team of entrepreneurs passionate about improving health access and outcomes for those most in need. We partner with primary care providers to improve the engagement and management of their Medicaid patients, providing independent practices access to specialized resources and clinical programs to address medical, social and behavioral patient needs. Our care ecosystem is equipped with enhanced technology and data interfaces to enable provider and patient success in a value-based environment. Guided by our core values of humility, continuous learning and feeling the weight, our team is on a mission to strengthen communities from within, unlocking people's ability to live their healthiest lives.

Our technology organization is a small, growing team of problem solvers committed to improving healthcare outcomes for disadvantaged populations. Our fully remote workforce strives to be…
• Innovative – We love creative problem solvers capable of outside the box solutioning, and who work hard to find simple solutions to hard problems.
• Independent – We take ownership of problems and have pride in our solutions, while working independently and supporting each other’s efforts.
• Adaptive – As a small team, we all lean in across the breadth of our technologies and love to learn new technologies and dive into new areas - and to figure things out as we go.

What We Do

We create and execute our technology enablement efforts – from software development to data/analytics, to infrastructure, and enterprise technologies. We work collaboratively across internal stakeholders to understand business problems and needs, and design & implement solutions that support our mission of providing effective and transformative patient-centered care.

We work on an ever-expanding set of technology platforms and are always seeking the simplest, most cost-effective way to solve problems. On the software side, we build solutions spanning Salesforce, Amazon Web Services, Snowflake, EMRs/EHRs, claims and clinical data feeds, etc. We work in technologies that include Salesforce (Lightning UIs supported by Apex APIs), Javascript (UI frameworks like React, and back-end services such as Node/Express), databases (SQL and NoSQL), data integrations and warehouses, and more, all deployed across automated, serverless infrastructures wherever possible.

How You Can Help Us

Here are some key areas where we’re looking to make our team stronger:
• Technical breadth with full-stack development in both Salesforce and JavaScript – someone who has technical abilities to design user interfaces and back-end APIs across multiple environments, and understands not only the functional aspects of programming, but also has the breadth to develop beyond application coding – such as infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, security/authentication, etc. Having projects where you’ve had to develop UIs, APIs, infrastructure, and CI/CD across Salesforce, JavaScript, and other environments would demonstrate that breadth of experience.
• Ownership and action – someone who sees a problem and wants to take ownership of solving the problem. There’s no room for silos here, we all have to cross boundaries to create solutions. Having examples where you’ve gone above and beyond what your role expectations is a great way to show this.
• Solid development experience with a strong potential to grow – someone who may not yet be a consistent senior influencer or architect, but who has multiple examples of going beyond their experience level. This can be indicated by having 2-5 years of strong experience with some examples of going beyond the years. Tell us how you’ve solved a big problem or had a big impact – we want to know.
• Adaptable willingness and ability to support the team and achieve results – someone who has shown themselves willing to jump into new areas, learn new technologies, and do so quickly in a way that impacts the business. Being able to discuss examples of having a measurable impact on the business while mastering new technologies would show how you are focused on making a difference for the team and the company while expanding your skillset.
• Keeping hard things simple – someone who remains focused on simple, reliable solutions even when the problems seem complex. We’d love to hear precedents where you took something really complicated and were able solve it with something simple, or in a way that addressed an even bigger problem in a general, flexible way.
