The portal started in 2008 with a purpose to educate people on insurance products and has had a significant influence on how insurance is bought in India. Responsibilities::
- Install, deploy and manage MongoDB
- Implement appropriate indexes for performance improvement.
- Fine-tune configurations – MongoDB and servers for performance improvement.
- Implement optimal backup and recovery.
- Understand and optimize query performance.
- Understanding of health checks for monitoring systems for: Identify slow queries, Replication lags, Node failures, Index usage patterns, CPU usage, Memory usage, Locks, Number of connections, Any other relevant params
- Work closely with the application team to understand what changes are coming in a build/patch/hotfix, do an impact analysis, fine-tune the queries if any.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years working experience in MongDB as DBA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Linux commands.
- Writing of efficient Queries
Desired Skills:
- Experience in managing MongoDB with multiple shards & cluster to support multi-tenant & highly scalable system
- RDBMS (MySQL, SQL Server) hands on experience is plus
- Working knowledge of Java is plus
- Other NoSQL db like Redis, Elastic, Kafka hands on experience is plus
