Montessori Casa Teacher – Full-Time | Whitby, Ontario
Are you an experienced Montessori educator looking to join a supportive and child-centered school community? We are currently hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Montessori Casa Teacher to join our team in Whitby, Ontario.
This is a full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and the Montessori philosophy.
About the Role
We’re looking for someone who can create a nurturing and inspiring learning environment that encourages independence and a love of learning. The ideal candidate brings both experience and warmth to the classroom, working collaboratively with families and fellow staff.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Montessori principles
Support children in self-directed learning and development
Maintain a clean, engaging, and well-organized prepared environment
Observe and document student progress with attention to detail
Build strong, positive relationships with parents and communicate regularly about student development
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent events
Follow school and regulatory policies for safety, record keeping, and daily operations
Keep a daily classroom log and complete any required reports
Qualifications
Montessori Casa Diploma (AMI or MACTE preferred)
Minimum of 2 years experience as a lead Montessori teacher
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Well-organized with strong time management abilities
Ability to work well in a team setting
Warm, patient, and energetic personality
Available Monday to Friday
Fluent in English (French is an asset)
Valid criminal reference check (or willingness to obtain)
