Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety in our café environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately.
Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
Assist in food preparation and serving of light snacks or pastries as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining spaces, adhering to food safety standards.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while promoting teamwork.
Skills
Previous barista experience is required.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Experience in the food industry is an asset, including knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
