Location: Pune
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assess application requirements through benchmarking and tear down analysis.
Assemble and test research and development prototypes.
Contribute to the production of prototype manufacturing drawings.
Test motor output performance for various applications such as fans, mixer grinders, etc.
Draw scientific conclusions from experiments based on data analysis.
Generate prototype testing reports and product tear down reports.
Collaborate within cross-functional teams for product development and prototype making.
Follow standard procedures for preparing prototype reports.
Maintain motor testing lab for record retention, 5S in test lab, and PEEP.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in accredited Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering curriculum with 3+ years of experience.
Previous experience in prototype development (design/analysis) with. motors.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge of conventional manufacturing techniques such as press tools, molding, casting, machining, as well as non-conventional techniques like EDM, wire cut, etc.
Familiarity with measurement equipment used in the electrical domain such as power analyzers, dyno setups, CROs, Hysteresis brake setups, etc.
Experience in SolidWorks for 3D modeling is highly appreciated.
Understanding of materials used in electrical motors and manufacturing processes of electrical parts (e.g., lamination cores, magnets, copper and aluminum wires, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Logical and analytical thinking abilities.
Quick learning ability and collaborative mindset,
