ï'· Create and manage multiple databases and assist in capacity planning.
ï'· Monitor, maintain database systems and troubleshoot problems that may arise.
ï'· Maintain data integrity and security (manage roles and permissions of database users).
ï'· Use tools like SQL Profiler for database tuning. Generate traces, execution plans, identify
performance issues, deadlocks/contention and resolve them.
ï'· Monitor, maintain back-ups, restoration and replication.
ï'· Support software developers to transport SQL Objects to production.
ï'· Proactive housekeeping/archiving and shrinking of databases.
ï'· Manage production, QA and development database environments.
ï'· Create detailed documentation including diagrams of database infrastructure.
