About the team
Team is Responsible for database design, creation, coding, implementation, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting for software applications..
What you will be doing
• The DBA will work in/with an Agile Development Team to deliver quality products to the customer, with a focus on technical application solutions using best-practices, patterns, frameworks and standards.
• Establishes database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy.
• Evaluates, designs, codes, implements, optimizes and modifies databases and database applications with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation and statistical methods.
• May build windows, screens and reports and assist in the design of user interface and business application prototypes.
• Participates in quality assurance and develops test application code in client server environment.
• Provides expertise in devising, negotiating and defending the tables and fields provided in the database.
What you bring:
• 4 to 6 years of hands-on-experience in MS SQL DBA
• Familiar in common DBMS: MS SQL 2012-2016 or later versions.
• Ability to support DBs on common OS Platforms: RHEL, AIX, Windows.
• Ability to Install new DB Server environments and perform upgrades.
• Troubleshoot database issues
• Make configuration changes to ensure optimum performance of DB instances across support application support environments.
• Configure backups/exports scheduled and executed in case of DR.
