Job Title: MS SQL DBA & SSIS Developer (Microsoft Fabric) Location: Remote Employment Type: Full Time Role Summary We are hiring an experienced MS SQL Server DBA / SSIS Developer to support and maintain a legacy data platform. This role involves managing SQL Server databases, SSIS ETL pipelines, and reporting systems, while supporting a broader transition to Microsoft Fabric. This is a hands-on role requiring strong ownership of database operations, ETL processes, and BI support, with a focus on stability, performance, and issue resolution. Key Responsibilities: ETL & Data Integration (SSIS) - Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SSIS packages - Diagnose failed ETL jobs and resolve issues with root-cause analysis - Optimize ETL performance (data flow tuning, parallelism, caching) - Manage deployments and versioning of SSIS packages - Document data flows, dependencies, and processes Database Administration (SQL Server) - Monitor database health (performance, blocking, queries, resource usage) - Tune queries, indexes, and execution plans - Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery processes - Configure and support HA/DR (Always On, replication, log shipping) - Maintain security (roles, permissions, auditing) - Manage SQL Agent jobs, alerts, and capacity planning BI / Reporting Support - Support SSRS, Power BI, and SQL-based reporting systems - Work with users to troubleshoot reporting issues - Support legacy reporting tools (Jet Reports – nice to have) ✅ Required Skills - 5+ years experience as a SQL Server DBA - Strong T-SQL (SPs, functions, views, query tuning) - Hands-on experience with SSIS development & support - Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts - Experience supporting legacy data systems independently - Strong communication & offshore collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, Spark) - Azure experience (ADF, Synapse, Azure SQL) - Power BI dataflow/dataset troubleshooting - Jet Reports / Jet Analytics experience - CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Git, DACPAC, etc.)
