Box And Go are professional, agile, innovative, and our goal is to create a dynamic and engaging delivery experience for our drivers, customers and suppliers.
Our business needs Delivery Drivers to join our team of skilled professionals, servicing one of Box And Go's biggest delivery suppliers (DPD London South) in Croydon Purley Way, South London.
The ideal candidate has a background in multi drop delivery services, previous experience driving a 3.5t / large van , is proficient in GPS navigation, can multitask while driving and provide excellent customer service (if you have no previous experience in multi drop delivery / driving a 3.5t van but have a 'can do' attitude then still apply).
We're looking for the right person to help us meet our company objectives and stay on track with our short-term and long-term goals.
What are we offering?
• WE PROVIDE YOU WITH A VAN (Manual or Automatic Full Electric) - We offer either a Fixed Day Rate or Pay Per Drop scheme - You choose
• OWN VAN DRIVERS - We can offer high competitive Rates with flexible days!
• Van provided by us, you don't need to pay for van rental, insurance
• Day rate between £100-£165 depending on volume (average £125-£150 a day but can earn more if you can deliver high volume during the peak)
• Full Time and Part Time / Weekend Roles available
• All expenses covered by us if you want a Fixed Rate (van & fuel costs). Driver does not need to worry about van rental / insurance costs or fuel
• OR Pay per drop rate - driver just pays for fuel (fuel card provided), the van rental and insurance is covered by us, so you can earn per drop to increase your earning potential!
• OWNER VAN DRIVERS - High per drop rates and high daily earnings!!
• Overtime available - high rates for delivering additional parcels after your shift
• Handheld delivery device provided (no need to use your own phone)
• Set routes available within specified postcodes so you deliver consistently on the same routes
• All routes are automatically optimised for you, however you can add in your own breaks and increase your stop time if you need additional flexibility
Work Location and basic details:
• You will be required to work 5 days a week including one weekend (typically Tues-Sat)
• Loading depot is located Beddington Farm Road, CR4 (DPD depot Purley Way, croydon)
• This role is on a self employed contract (you will be working directly for Box And Go)
• 3.5t van provided (we may also have opportunity to drive a smaller van at lower rate)
• Full training provided with branded uniform
What skill set / responsibilities are required:
• Work in a fast-paced environment doing on average +0-130 drops a day.
• Deliver parcels to set postcode locations in and around Croydon / Purley / Surrey.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and team leaders.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality is a MUST!!
• Deliver parcels within the required time period you agree before you start shift.
• Lift parcels up to 30kg
• Ensure the correct compliance processes are followed for each delivery.
• Working mobile phone to use our high tech delivery app
• Full UK Drivers licence required - Minimum 1 year held , no more than 3 points
• If you wish to drive automatic full electric van then ideally have held licence for 3 years
• CRB Check (we will request this on your behalf).
