Splash Media Group is looking to expand our social media crew with an experienced Multimedia Content Creator / Social Media Strategist in our Prince George, BC office. We are looking for individuals who are highly creative, collaborative, have strong writing and grammar skills, and an eye and skill for photography and video. You must be detailed and have a strong understanding of marketing strategy and storytelling. You must be in sync with social trends and platforms and can easily adapt to changing news and trends.
This position joins our existing social media team and our successful candidate can expect to spend their days planning and executing social media strategy, creating and publishing content to a variety of platforms, as well as shooting and developing short and long form videos. Since our team and this position are very collaborative, this is a work from the office role only and has potential for some travel and expansion to larger video outside of the social team. This is a position and industry that continues to evolve and grow so adapting, problem solving, patience and an eagerness to excel is essential. Having the ability to research, source and then write and adapt content to meet our client’s tone and strategy is essential. Our clients look for us to represent them in a way they can’t and so we expect a high level of commitment to learning and understanding our clients, the industry they are in and their overall goals. We don't consider this role entry level as social media is an important communication platform for many of our clients.
Splash works with a range of small to very large clients throughout Canada and the US, so having pride in your work and understanding the quality level you need to work at, is critical to your success in this position.
Also critical to this position is not working after hours! Our office hours are Monday to Friday 730am-4pm. The only exception to this is if a client has a crisis, then it is all hands on deck and you will join the whole Splash team in assisting in whatever our client needs. We work hard, support each other and support our clients to the best of our abilities.
Since our team in Kelowna, Kamloops and Prince George are very collaborative, this is a work from the office role only.
Duties
Research, write and develop content
Develop new creative ideas and campaigns
Collaborate with other members of the Splash team
Be focused and committed to doing the best for our clients
Capture video and photography.
Invest in our clients and their success
Qualifications
Experience with content writing, either creative or technical
Have a photography or video portfolio
Be organized and able to work on your own and with others
Have experience and knowledge of social platforms
Be driven by a strong passion to learn and grow.
Be curious about clients, the industry and how things work.
