Job Description & Requirements
MUSIC - 0.750 FTE
We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:
A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
A degree in Music Education.
A strong background in music and the ability to play piano and conduct choir.
A strong academic background.
Demonstrated ability to program and teach the Kindergarten to Grade 6 music program.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
Previous successful teaching experience at the middle years level.
A Master's Degree in education with specialization in Music Education.
Familiarity with the Orff and Kodaly methods.
GRADE 2-3 0.250 FTE
We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:
A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
A strong academic background and previous successful early years teaching experience.
Demonstrated ability to teach and differentiate instruction in the Grade 2-3 classroom.
Demonstrated ability/experience in the teaching of reading in early years.
Knowledge and understanding of teaching literacy through the curriculum, and a strong background in language development.
Knowledge and understanding of inclusion of technology in learning processes.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivering a quality program.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
Experience in the philosophy of a multi-age classroom as it relates to curriculum planning and implementation, instructional diversity, and classroom learning environment.
