About the team
This position is a senior Oracle, MySQL and Oracle Exadata Database Administrator (DBA) in a centralized database administration team, which provides 7x24 support in test/prod environments.
The DBA is mainly responsible for maintaining highly visible production databases.
What You Will Be Doing
• Good knowledge of MYSQL architecture
• Knowledge on MYSQL replication Master-Master and Master slave and troubleshooting
• Troubleshooting of Replication lag, errors and fixing those issues
• MySQL Setup on new environment
• Must have knowledge of setting MYSQL clustering, tuning, troubleshooting
• Must have good knowledge of Performance tuning of MYSQL databases.
• Must have good knowledge of MYSQL database upgradation
• Installation and configuration of MYSQL on Windows and Linux
• Understanding MYSQL Backup & Recovery.
What will you Bring
• Types of MySQL backup and how to handle large DB size
• DB Recovery in case of crash or hardware failure and how to protect from these
• Steps for MySQL upgradation from lower to higher version
• Database Migration from ons env to other env
• Ability to multitask and contextswitch effectively between different activities and teams
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
• Additional database like Oracle/ MSSQL will be added advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to organize and plan work independently.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. knowledge in Payment Cards
